Rating:  - Splendid 'feel good' movie
I have watched this movie so many times and I still enjoy it so much. I had never heard of it when I first hired it from a video store but being a Robin Williams fan, and a comedy fan, I gave it a go. Isn't it great how you can discover a treasure like this without ever hearing a load of 'hype' about it first? The music is great and I spent a lot of time just getting the soundtrack from overseas, I am in Australia, and I could only get it on cassette. This is a real shame as I am quickly wearing the tape out and cannot replace it. Why is it not available on CD? Great Movie...Great Music...
Rating:  - "Club Paradise" Better than they wanted it to be?
I remember the first time I saw Club Paradise and thought then as well as now that it was a very funny movie. Yet for some reason the critics, if you can call them that, like to slam a movie because it apparently doesn't fit into what they, in all their limited wisdom, think is funny. It may not have been the funniest movie I have ever seen, but there were several gags and clever one-liners by Robin Williams (who is the master of the one-liner) as well as the rest of the cast not to mention some great music and beautiful scenery. I guess it's like beauty being in the eye of the beholder, one's man's trash is another man's treasure. As far as I'm concerned, most of these critics don't know Adam from Eve. A Big Thumbs Up to Robin and the rest of the folks that made this very enjoyable movie possible.

Rick Moranis and Eugene Levy make a great comedy team in this funny Robin Williams(Low keyed) movie. Williams is a Fireman that after a bad accident on the job decides to retire and take the insurance money and start a small Island resort. And of course when he opens his first bunch of guests are a band of Individual nuts. Which makes for nothing but hilarious results, Williams and Peter Otoole lend for the more serious plot of the film while fellow SCTV Alums Andrea Martin,Moranisand Levy carry the funny stuff. Of course the only way those two can score, They think, Is to score some Pot from the local Reggae Guys. Oh ya they blend. Lots of stars a well written scrip. Definatly puts it on the must see list.
